Last week I was privileged to take a trip to the Nepal Embassy for a lecture on Cultural relations between Nepal and the UK, hosted by the Britain Nepal Society and the Nepal Embassy.  It was such a pleasure to be there and to practice my Nepali language which has been taking more of a back seat as I've been in the UK for most of the year!

I invited our good friend Stuart to join me for the event and it was a pleasure to arrive at the embassy and immediately be greeted by the familiarity of warm Nepali hospitality.  After mingling with some of the other society members, we sat down to hear some very interesting talks by Dr Shanker Thapa, Professor of History, and Mr Rajendra Lingden an expert in federalism and inclusiveness in Nepal.  We then had some delicious Nepali food from a local London restaurant and had some time to talk more with each other about the various ways we are connected to Nepal, and sharing about our mutual love for the people and the country.  Before leaving, I had the privilege of meeting his Excellency Ambassador Dr. Durga Subedi, and sharing about our work with Bridges Nepal.  He is such an inspiration and it was a pleasure to meet him, I look forward to the next time.

All in all it was a lovely evening and I was so pleased to have been able to meet so many new people.
